One of the great joys of being a wedding photographer in Cheshire is the number of amazing venues you get to work at, and Peckforton Castle must rate as one of the very best.
I was lucky enough to be asked by Helen and Nick to photograph their wedding last month.
It was a glorious day for the wedding – you do remember glorious days don’t you? – and the castle was looking splendid in the sunshine when I arrived. The weather was hot and sunny throughout the day.
Some of the bridal prep

And then a couple of quick portraits

And then on to the ceremony in the Great Hall.

Then it was across to the Chapel for a blessing.
There was a surprise visitor outside.
Back to the Great Hall for the wedding breakfast.

Then across to the pavillion for the evening reception.

I love Peckforton Castle and you’ve captured it beautifully – loving that shot during the meal with the light streaming through the window. The shots of the bride with her dad just before the ceremony are lovely!
Thanks Peter. Yes, the Great Hall was looking splendid that day, the light doing the right things at the right time. And you always know you’re on to a winner if the groom or bride’s dad starts to get tearful!
